Billing

WorkSquares Billing will issue invoices and collect payment against the same customers and products as the rest of the suite.

Intended scope

Invoices & invoice lines — what a customer owes, and for what.
Payments — money received, applied against invoices.
Dunning — reminders for overdue balances, on a schedule.

Raising an invoice from an accepted quote, clearing payments against it and chasing an overdue balance are all things you do in CPQ today. Billing’s reason to exist is to lift them out of CPQ so a workspace can bill without running a quoting product — not to add capability that is missing.

Connects to

CPQ — where the billing surface lives today, and what Billing would take over.
Accounts — the financial system of record. Posting a billing document straight into the general ledger is the planned seam; today the ledger entry is raised in Accounts itself.
CRM — the customer being billed.
